Our first quarter is over! Time is flying by this year...I am looking forward to meeting with you the week of October 21st at our conferences. We'll have lots to share with you at that time. Please plan to start your conference precisely at your time. We only have 20 minutes per conference, so we will have to reschedule if you arrive more than 5 minutes late. Report cards will be given out at that time.

I'm very proud of the students who set goals and were motivated at home to complete the work. On the other hand, I am hoping to see an increased number of students who devote time to completing assignments and reading that is required. I feel that I am very fair with homework, allowing time for family in the evenings. I do expect all children to put forth the required effort when I give assignments. Please let me know if your child is struggling with the material and we can adjust it to fit your child's needs.
Your child will be given a new AR goal for the 2nd quarter. This goal will be based on the points your child was able to get this first quarter and the comprehension score. Remember, tumble books is also a great resource for your child to use from home to listen to books. This can be accessed through Mrs. Huffstetler's blog. All the information you will need is there.
